-HCA) and Home Health Agencies (HHA-).
1. Independent Consumer Information & Referral Resource Only
Under Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS § 321-14.8) and Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR Title 11, Chapter 700), operating a Home Care Agency that provides personal care, homemaker, or respite services in a client's residence requires a license issued by the Hawaii Department of Health Office of Health Care Assurance (OHCA). KonaHomeCare.com does not maintain or operate a home care agency. Instead, KonaHomeCare.com publishes educational consumer guides and routes care inquiries at no cost to consumers to independent, state-licensed third-party agencies serving Kailua-Kona, Waimea & West Hawaiʻi (Hawaiʻi County, HI).
2. Consumer Verification & Direct Agency Service Agreements
All home care service plans, hourly rates, minimum shift agreements, caregiver assignments, background check verifications, and insurance claims are strictly between you (the consumer/family) and the state-licensed Home Care Agency (-HCA) or Home Health Agency (HHA-) you choose to engage. Families are encouraged to request the agency's active Hawaii DOH OHCA license number and verify it on the official Hawaii Department of Health OHCA roster prior to signing a service agreement.
3. Educational Rate Benchmarks & Non-Medical Content
All cost figures published on KonaHomeCare.com (including the $37–$41/hour Hawaii home care range, $7,817/month 44-hour benchmark, $12,096/month Hawaii assisted living median, and $15,473–$16,395/month nursing home medians from the CareScout / Genworth Cost of Care Survey) are general informational benchmarks and do not constitute a binding quote or medical advice.
4. TCPA & Referral Communications Consent
By checking the affirmative consent box on any inquiry form on KonaHomeCare.com and submitting your contact details, you expressly authorize KonaHomeCare.com and its participating Hawaii DOH-licensed home care partner agencies to contact you at the telephone number and email address you provided via live telephone call, text message (SMS), or email regarding your inquiry, even if your phone number appears on a state or federal Do-Not-Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of Hawaii, KonaHomeCare.com and its operators shall not be liable for any act, omission, care quality, scheduling issue, or dispute arising out of services provided by any independent third-party home care agency.
